Citrine

An individual from the quartz family, it is commonly more reasonable (in monetary terms) than amethyst. The mohs scale rates the wonderful citrine at 7 in terms of its hardness. Its shading ranges from bright yellow to honey like color and orange-brown. The name citrine originates from the French word for lemon, fittingly portraying this shaded stone's warm, attractive color. It is mined in Brazil and Bolivia, where it is normal and copiously found. Citrine is often exposed to enhancing heat in order to improvise its hue. It is an elective November birthstone in the US.
